Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is a beautiful site that is a must see! If you are into romance then Niagara Falls is the place for you, the experience of magnificent falls will enrich you with its natural rewarding experience and leave you coming back for more. Located fifteen miles North of Buffalo, New York, the two cities that house the Niagara Falls are known as the Honeymoon Cities this due to the number of honeymooners who go to the falls for their honeymoons especially newly weds.

Niagara Falls has two sides to it. There is the side connected to New York which is in American soil and there is the one connected to Ontario which is on the side of the Canadian’s. The gigantic waterfall is a beautiful natural wonder that many come to see from all over as well as from all over the world. There is a smaller adjacent fall named Bridal Veil Falls which is just as wonderful as well as beautiful as the American Falls and the Canadian one which is named Horseshoe Falls.

The falls has been a tourist attraction for thousands of years even dating back to the 1800’s. It has been used as part of many movies as well as television series, especially romantic movies. One of the most exciting things to do at Niagara Falls is to take a boat cruise on the Maid of the Mist, which has carried tourists beneath the falls into the whirlpools for several years dating back to 1846. You can also try the Cave of Winds tour which is located at Goat Island on the American side of the fall as well as several other attractions which are located on either the American side of the falls or on the Canadian side.

If you like to see the Joshua tree then try taking a trip to the Joshua Tree National Park which is in Southern-Eastern California. This is a great place to go and learn about the history of the Joshua tree, as well as discover oneself in the beautiful surroundings. There are great adventures to experience there.

Sleeping under the beautiful sky and looking up at the stars is an experience that can only be found at the Joshua tree National Park, where several beautiful campsites are available. The star shine more brightly at the park and it is a site to see. You can also discover hiking trails as well as try rock climbing like all other rock climbers from all over the world. You will find lots of giant boulders as well as rocky mountain peeks all around for all your rock climbing pleasures.

Joshua Tree National Park also offers motels, restaurants, bars a few stores, and gas stations. There is also great American wildlife to be found there like the Coyote, you can also discover the two hundred species of desert birds there like the Cactus Wren, Greater Roadrunner, Mocking birds and many more. During October until March you will find the weather at the Joshua Tree National park pleasant it would be the best time to visit the park.

Based in Arizona, the Grand Canyon is a beautiful and spectacular site that is a must see! It is a is a very colorful, steep-sided gorge, carved by the Colorado River, which has several other gorges, canyons, fissures worn into the rock with unusual buttes, mesas and rock spires standing between them. The canyon was formed by the Colorado River cutting a channel over about six million years and is 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (0.4 to 24 kilometers), and attains a depth of more than a mile (1.6 km).

The Grand Canyon was first sited by García López de Cárdenas from Spain in 1540, but was not very popular until it became famous after the Civil War. This spectacular canyon is a site for various activities like hiking and a very popular tourist attraction, with tourist coming from all over the world just to view this beautiful gorge which is largely contained in one of the first national parks in the United States the Grand Canyon National Park.

You can experience the South Rim Visitor Center which offers the best views of the Canyon and is the most visited area by tourist. The South Rim Visitors Center has the most facilities in the Canyon and is the most accessible. You can also view the North Rim and the West Rim but they both have less view points but are largely famous for backpackers, hikers and wilderness campers who especially like the North Rim but it closes from late October to mid May. The West Rim is favored by many Las Vegas tour operators, as it is only a three-hour drive from the Vegas Strip and is located on the Havasupai Indian Reservation. Hiking is one of the best ways to view the large canyon and you will love the experience.

The best trail to hike would be the Bright Angel Trail that departs from the Grand Canyon Village and is the most popular route. The trail is a well maintained and has drinking water supplies at several points which are a necessity while hiking the Grand Canyon.

If you are looking for a place to stay, you can try the Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim, which has several hotels and restaurants, a gas station, grocery store, a Laundromat and several souvenir shops and is maintained by the National Park. Six miles south of the Grand Canyon Village you will find the little village of Tusayan which also a lovely place to stay and has several private hotels, a grocery store, some restaurants, some souvenir shops, gas stations, a few convenience stores, a couple of bars, an IMAX theater and a small airport.

Death Valley is just as it claims a valley that is remote, dry, sandy and basically dead. The beauty of the valley is that it looks like a desert due to the many sand dunes that are available. It doesn’t rain much in death valley in fact the valley’s floor receives just about two inches of rain through out the year.

Death Valley’s temperatures can rise up to 130 Fahrenheit (50celsius); in fact it probably never gets lower than 100 degrees even during the night. Located in Los Angeles, California, Death Valley’s Badwater basin is the lowest point in the North America continent and is actually two hundred and eighty two feet below sea level, which can also be described as eighty six meters.

The Timbisha a Native American tribe have had their ancestry history in Death Valley which dates a thousand years. The Timbisha who can now be found living in Furnace Creek within Death Valley’s National Park, were known as Panamint Shoshone and had red rock paint on their faces. Places of interest in the Valley are usually found in Death Valleys National Park. You will find the Artist’s Drive and Palette, Badwater, Devil’s Golf Course, Dante’s View, Charcoal Kilns, Amargosa Chaos, Furnace Creek, Mesquite Sand Dunes, Mesquite Springs, Natural Bridge Canyon and many more.

If you love to ski or surfboard in the snow then Aspen is the place to go! You have probably heard of Aspens beautiful scenery and all snow White Mountain tops. Aspen is a place where you get to experience all kinds of activities, art, music and a great place where you can nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Originally named Ute City, the small town was formed in 1879 and was renamed Aspen in 1880. It was first a mining town where people went in search for silver. Aspen is the largest city and county seat of Pitkin County, Colorado.

Due to its famous ski resorts, Aspen has become popular with the rich and famous going there to unwind and to have fun. With its spectacular scenery, Aspen has become a winter wonderland which is famous for its shopping boutiques, fine dining as well as plenty of other fun activities to partake in. However skiing is what Aspen is famous for and during winter time you can find several activities taking place there like cross country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, Alpine and Nordic skiing, ice skating, sleigh rides and the Winterskol Carnival which takes place every January. Summer time in Aspen is also a great way to spend your time. You get to experience horseback riding, golfing, tennis and racquetball, jeep tours, air ballooning, paragliding, windsurfing, sailing white water rafting, fishing, biking and hiking. However during summertime which comes around June to late August, you will find the resort less crowded and off-course no snow and the pricing is less expensive then winter time. You also get to experience the Aspen Music Festival which features one hundred classical music performances. So basically Aspen is fun all year round. Aspen also plays host to ESPN’s Winter X Games.

As the second most populous city in the State of Colorado, Colorado Springs is a city of great pleasures and many attractions, even though it is located near the base of one of the most famous American mountains, Pikes Peak, at the eastern edge of the Southern Rocky Mountains. Colorado Springs has many urban features such as parks, bike trails, urban open-area spaces, business and commerce, theatres and other entertainment. It also has numerous ski resorts, cattle ranches and mountain scenery which include the spectacular Black Canyon Gorge near Gunnison.

Nicknamed “Little London” by English tourists who visited it in its early years, the city was founded by General William Palmer in August 1871, as a high quality resort community. Its’ beautiful surroundings of the Garden of Gods and the nearby Pikes Peak give Colorado Springs its natural look and feel.

One of its great attractions would be the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, which is the only mountain Zoo of its kind in the United States. The Arkansas River Royal gorge provides a spectacular tourist attraction which offers the highest suspension bridge over water at nearly 1200 feet (360 meters) above the Arkansas River. The Arkansas River also provides the world’s steepest incline railway and one of the scariest Skycoasters in the world and has the longest single-span aerial tramway. Another eye popping attraction would be its beautiful limestone’s and flowstones curtains which can be found in the Cave of the Winds, which posses two hundred years of geological history and has been a commercial attraction since 1880.

Colorado Springs which is located on the eastern front of the Colorado Rockies, 66 miles (106 km) south of Denver and 278 miles (448 km) north of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was ranked the best place to live in US in July 2006, in the big city category, that is from all the cities with 300,000 or more people living there.
